Pregnancy Pilates, Starts 4th February 2011

Pregnancy Pilates will start on Friday 4th February at Studio 21 in Yarm, the six week course takes place every Friday at 4:30pm.  Each class lasts 55 minutes and takes you through Pilates exercises specifically modified for pregnant women. 
Pilates is a relaxed form of exercise for pregnant women which not only helps prepare the body and mind for giving birth, but can help weight loss afterwards.
Studio owner Vicky trained with renowned pilates expert Lynne Robinson, who’s worked with numerous celebrities, including Liz Hurley.
Groups are limited to ensure everyone receives one-to-one support, it also provides a mini support network of women in the same situation.
There are so many benefits, including helping the mother to relax her mind and body, control and develop her muscles to be able to cope with the additional weight and improving fitness for labour and breathing control.
The classes can also help co-ordination and balance, preparing the upper body for breast feeding and helping women look and feel good.
